tsa chapter: history

During High Tech's inaugural year (1991), technology teacher Mr. Jim Gleason began the school's involvement in TSA. The chapter progressed well, and in 1996, Mr. Chris Widmer took over as advisor. He was an avid member during college and brought that same vigor and determination to High Tech. He applied what he learned and incorporated innovative ideas to attract new student involvement, benefiting the chapter.

Current advisor Mrs. Stacy Hallman joined Mr. Widmer in 1999 to co-head the chapter. The next year, Mr. Widmer left to work as the Head of Technology in the Monmouth County Vocational School District Board of Education, leaving Mrs. Hallman as the sole advisor. Her continual generation of new ideas augments both chapter membership and support.
